ImageEvolution Festival makes its inevitable return this year on the weekend of June 3rd and 4th, with a line up featuring some of the UK's hottest acts, mixed with a whole host of the region's most exciting new talent and, perhaps most excitingly, A PRICE FREEZE.

Headlining this year's festival will be hip-hopper Dizzie Rascal and electronic, button botherer Deadmau5, who'll be bringing the biggest production ever to Evolution with his jaw dropping audio visual spectacular. They'll be joined by returning local heroes Maximo Park and folky-indie-poppers Noah & The Whale. Also joining the bill will be 2011's biggest breakout act Rizzle Kicks and Alex Turner's best bud Miles Kane.

Alongside hosting some of the biggest acts on the planet Evolution will once again introduce the crowd to a wealth of emerging local talent on the third stage, this year including Floatation Suite favourites The Lake Poets and Mausi.

Partnered with Generator the UK's leading Music Development Agency this stage gives local talent a chance to get their foot on the ladder and play to the biggest crowd of their careers to date.

The festival, labelled by the NME as "the biggest bargain of the summer", will take place over the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, meaning Tuesday will be an extra day off. Good news, if getting so bladdered you can't remember any of the music you've seen over the festival is your kind of thing.

Evolution promoter Jim Mawdsley comments: "We are very proud to bring such a strong and progressive line up to Newcastle Gateshead for this year's Evolution Festival. We look forward to partying with you all in June."

At 25 for a day ticket or 35 for the weekend, Evolution continues its tradition of providing an amazing show for an unbeatable price. For more information and links to buy tickets, check the Evolution website here
