ImageGrizzly Bear have announced details of a brand new tour, which includes a return to the North East.  Brooklyn's finest will make their way to these fine shores for five dates in October, which kick off at The Sage Gateshead on the 17th October. The tour will then stop off at Manchester, Glasgow and Coventry before finishing off with a date at London's Brixton Academy on the 22nd October.

The American four piece last played The Sage's Hall One in support of their excellent Veckatimest record back in 2009, now 2012 sees them return with a new album, set for release on September 18th.

Grizzly Bear are masters of the atmospheric - an indie-psychedelic-experimental-rock-pop band par excellence. 2009's Veckatimest explored new avenues for the band and their forthcoming long player looks set to cement them into the popular music firmament as one of their generation's finest American bands.

Last month the band unveiled the first single from their forthcoming as yet untitled new album. Click HERE to listen to Sleeping Ute.

Those UK dates in full are as follows:

17 Gateshead, UK @ The Sage Gateshead
18 Manchester, UK @ Academy
20 Glasgow, UK @ Barrowland Ballroom
21 Coventry, UK @ Warwick Arts Centre
22 London, UK @ Brixton Academy
