ImageTyneside's Profumo have shared the first taste of their debut EP Brutalism, by unveiling a song from it.

The tune titled, Breton Stripes is an early teaser for the upcoming record which front-man Jack Bates considers a "Pop Bourguignon".

"It's more towards the poppier end of things," he explains.

"It's a bit of a mongrel though, so it's maybe a good signpost of the eclecticism of the record.

Brutalism, is comprised of six tracks and it will be available on both physical and digital formats on July 7, 2015 and will be released via North East label, Forgotten City Records, which the band recently signing a three record deal with.

Bates added: "We're all very proud of it, it was comfortably the most enjoyable and most successful recording experience we've had so far and I think that definitely translates on the record."
