Made, allegedly, for a mere €600, this delightful laid back two (and a half) hander is as good as a bottle of wine in the sun with friends. Adria (Adria Collado) arrives on the island (Ibiza, but not recognisable from travel brochures or rave magazines) to stay with his old friend Kike (Eric Frances) who is house sitting an isolated villa for a friend. It isn't quite the luxury he is expecting, but soon the two are off on the first of several inconsequential conversations on politics, food, sex, films and day-to day life. The other, seldom seen, occupant is the owner's cousin, an earnest and dour Frenchman (actually played by the producer, Jean-Luc Ducasse) who does all the shopping and cleaning for this lazy pair, while they lounge around in the sun, in hammocks, on the cliff, beside the sea, putting the world to rights. It cleverly conveys the feeling that every minute was as enjoyable to make as it is to watch. Deft editing and gloriously droll dialogue make this a little masterpiece, as we get to know the pair and their ways, and gradually learn more about the owner and his whereabouts - a kind of Mediterranean Godot with all the dread taken out.
